This tool measures the gap between two dates in several ways: calendar duration in years, months and days, total days, weeks, hours, and most importantly the number of business days, excluding weekends and French public holidays (computed automatically, including Easter-based ones). Handy for a notice period, a contractual deadline, leave, a countdown or seniority. A second module adds or subtracts a number of days from a given date.

Which public holidays are excluded from business days?
The 11 French public holidays: New Year, Easter Monday, Labour Day, Victory 1945, Ascension, Whit Monday, Bastille Day, Assumption, All Saints, Armistice and Christmas.
How are the Easter dates computed?
Using Gauss's algorithm, which automatically places Easter Monday, Ascension and Whit Monday for each year.
What if the end date is before the start date?
The duration is shown as an absolute value and a message indicates the order is reversed.
Are my dates sent anywhere?
No, all the computation happens locally in your browser.
